Grainbait started as a rock trio from The Netherlands. Chris van Boven, Floris Habermehl and Tim van den Berge have been thundering across the Dutch music landscape at full force since 2022. With a sound reminiscent of a clash between Audioslave and Wolfmother, Grainbait puts a distinctive twist on (hard) rock, grunge, and blues. Raw, intense, and uncompromising.

Their signature sound is formed by rhythmic guitar parts, powerful vocals, subtle organ tones, and a tight, pounding rhythm section. Grainbait experiments with unusual time signatures and high dynamics, giving their music unexpected depth and intensity.

The year 2024 was a breakthrough for Grainbait. They released four well-received singles, including the striking track ‘The Machine’. This single captures the essence of their sound: a perfect balance between bluesy roots and grunge attitude. In 2025, the debut EP 'Age of Unrest' followed. With 5 songs, the men from Zeeland underscored their new Grunge sound, which they had been working on for a long time. Moreover, they proved their status as a live act with victories in the Podium-Z and T-strijd finals.

In early 2026, Grainbait welcomed lead guitarist Roel Pieterse into their ranks. His arrival not only enriched the sound and provided more room for pronounced solos, but also meant that frontman Chris didn't have to divide his time between vocals and guitar as much. Allowing him to further develop as a frontman. With this reinforcement, the band continued to grow in dynamics and Grainbait developed a more energetic, interactive live experience.

With their intense performances and distinct musical approach, Grainbait continues to surprise, steadily carving out their place in the Dutch rock scene, with plenty more to come.
